来自斐济、基里巴斯、密克罗尼西亚联邦、瑙鲁、纽埃、巴布亚新几内亚、所罗门群岛、汤加、瓦努阿图9个太平洋岛国的议员日前到访广东多地，考察广东在可持续发展、农业科技和循环经济方面的创新实践，以及中国全过程人民民主在广东的实践。

　　巴布亚新几内亚国会议员约瑟夫·约皮约皮（Joseph Yopyyopy）表示，此次考察带来了两个关键挑战：如何推广清洁能源和保护文化遗产，中国的经验对太平洋岛国具有重要意义。

　　Recently, parliamentarians from nine Pacific island nations—Fiji, Kiribati, the Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Vanuatu—visited Guangdong, China to explore its innovations in sustainable development, agricultural technology, and circular economy practices, as well as the implementation of China's whole-process people's democracy.

　　Joseph Yopyyopy, Member of the National Parliament of Papua New Guinea, shared in an exclusive interview with Daily Bae that his tour in China highlighted two key challenges for the Pacific island nations: the adoption of cleaner energy and the preservation of cultural heritage.
